What it is
Sculptra is a collagen-stimulating injectable treatment designed to gradually restore structure, volume, and support to areas that have softened or hollowed with time. Unlike traditional dermal fillers, Sculptra doesn’t fill lines instantly. Instead, it works beneath the surface to rebuild your skin’s internal scaffolding, leading to results that emerge naturally over time and last well beyond the treatment window.
How it works
Sculptra is made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible substance that triggers your skin’s own collagen production. Once injected, it stimulates fibroblasts to begin rebuilding lost structural support. As collagen regenerates, skin becomes firmer, smoother, and better supported.
Why not use traditional filler?
Traditional hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers can help restore volume in some areas — but they aren’t ideal for hands.
Because the skin here is thin and constantly moving, HA fillers can sometimes create puffiness, migrate, or break down too quickly. And while they add volume, they don’t rebuild the skin’s structure or improve tone and texture.
That’s why we use biostimulatory injectables like Sculptra and Hyperdilute Radiesse. Instead of filling space, they stimulate your skin to rebuild its own collagen — restoring internal strength, improving elasticity, and softening visible signs of aging. The results aren’t just smoother — they’re stronger, longer-lasting, and more natural-looking.
What to Expect
-
Your provider will assess facial proportions, movement, and long-term goals. Photos and mapping ensure consistent placement across sessions.
-
Sculptra is injected using small cannulas or needles, depending on the area. It’s blended with sterile water and lidocaine for comfort. Most clients feel only pressure or light stinging.
-
You may experience minor swelling or bruising. Results won’t be visible right away—initial plumpness is due to water content and fades within days. Collagen production begins quietly underneath, revealing gradual, lasting improvement.
