Scarring

Targeted treatments designed to smooth, refine, or rebuild skin affected by acne or injury-related scarring

the Concern

Uneven texture that catches the light, small indents where skin didn’t heal smoothly, marks or spots that have lingered long after whatever caused them went away — sometimes you see them right away. Sometimes you only notice them to the touch.

the Approaches

Scarring can show up in different ways. Our pre-treatment conversations will identify what treatment(s) are best suited to the scarring you’re hoping to address. Below, you’ll see how we approach each type in care.

Surface-Level (shallow) Scarring

Some scars begin and end at the surface. They often show as roughness, raised edges, or uneven texture that catches the light differently from the skin around them. For this type of scarring we turn to treatments that smooth texture and soften edges for a more even look.

Deeper-Set Scarring

Some scars are anchored deeper, leaving dips or shadows even though they’re seen at the surface. For these scars, improvement comes from rebuilding the foundation beneath them as well, so we opt for treatments that stimulate repair and restore strength from within.
